How to: Take care of your lips.

Hey lovely readers,
Lets imagine we’re guys for a minute so I can ask you this question. Would you rather kiss a girl with dried out/chapped bleeding ugly lips or someone with pretty soft ones? Being someone who used to suffer from chapped dry lips due to weather- and being overexposed to the sun- a lot I do know how bad it is. And some people don’t really fuss over chapped lips, or simply wait for it to go away but in my case if I try to ignore my lips a huge red line appears above my upper lip, and then with time turns to this very dark brown then flakes off. How disgusting is that! Not only is it gross, but it is also incredibly painful. This has decreased if not stopped fully only because I started taking care of them, and drinking a lot more water.
I decided since this is something I face I would make a post about it and help you guys with some tips.
1.      Drink water not pints: I can’t emphasize enough how important drinking water is for your health and beauty. It helps you burn fats, build muscles, have healthier skin, reduces headache, illnesses, bladder and colon cancer and risks of having heart attacks. You might consider adding lemons to your water as well for it helps relieve a lot of things like digestive problems …Etc.
2.      Put that lip balm on: I think Lana should have said “pick me up lots of lip balm” Can’t remember what specific song its from, but you get my point. The weather, lip licking, and being over exposed to the sun all dry out your lips. Lip balm helps seal in the moisture and protects your lips from bacteria and dryness or getting chapped basically. You should also use lip balm as a base before applying you lip stick/pencil/crayon!
3.      Bad medicine: In this case the Bon Jovi song title fits perfectly, maybe not. When choosing lip balm do go for the ones made of bees wax or petroleum jelly, and stay away from medical ones unless you have cold sores. I’m not quiet sure why, but if I had to answer on the spot it would be the old saying no one will understand because I've heard it in a different language “Don’t take medicine before the illness” My translation was rubbish wasn't it?
4.      Watch what you eat: Stop drooling over that burger, and think about what you’re eating before you stuff your face in it. Green peppers, mustard, orange juice, and BBQ sauce all cause dried or chapped lips. Might want to cut those out from your meals, eh?
5.      Save the licking for the ice cream: Lip licking is one of the main causes of dehydration, and that’s the main reason why I suffered with my lips! Hot temperatures make you lick you lips more which results in moisture evaporation. There aren't any tricks to stopping this beside self control, and licking you hand maybe? *meow*
6.      Brush, brush I don’t know where I’m going with this! Sadly I don’t recall any rhyme I might have known when I was younger so yeah, not the best way to start but oh well! One of the reasons you might be suffering from dried out, chapped lips might be your tooth paste. It might not react well with your skin causing the dryness. I personally haven’t experienced this, but if you do think your toothpaste is the reason behind this you may want to consult someone with more knowledge in this field or simply try various kinds of toothpaste!

Mwah Mwah  and loads more kisses.
P.S I just wanted to show you the GIFs

That concludes this probably dull post.
I will be going back to OOTD and more fashion related posts by the end of the week since this isn't really my scene now is it? Anyways I hope this helps some of you suffering from chapped lips, and if these don’t help you should consider going to a specialist. If that doesn't work out for some unknown reason I’m sure your boyfriend/ husband loves your either way!
