Freshly Picked Flower Crown DIY ♡

Hey dolls,
We all watch those commercials in which a girl turns heads because of her lovely scent due to some over-priced funky bottle of perfume right? Well who needs those perfumes- we all do- when you've got freshly cuts flowers? They say flowers are nature’s smile. How about having some of nature’s smile on your head? Here’s how to make your own flower crown with freshly cut flowers!

You’ll need a list of materials:
  1. Freshly cut flowers (Do wash them unless you like little critters all up in your hair)
  2. Wire
  3. Duct tape
  4. tweeds, or green strips of fabric
  5. Scissors
Okay so before you start you have to take an artsy photo of any flowers you've got. Here is mine.

Like a professional.

Now that you’ve got that done you will need to take your wire and see how much of it you’ll need to fit your head and then using that scissor you should cut the wire and wrap one end around the other end leaving you with a perfect circle of wire, a halo if you may. It would look something like this:

For the sake of sticking with the theme..

The next step is to pick some flowers from your garden, buy some , or pick flowers from your neighbor’s garden.

Now you take your materials a place them on a flat surface and get started. Get some various flowers placing them together like this:

Then using your duct-tape you tape their stems together.
Then place them facing a particulate direction and do the same process until you fill the entire crown –will require A LOT of flowers if you intend to do it all big and chunky- or you could simply do half which will look just as good.

Now your crown may look a little like this on the inside but all pretty from the outside.

No worries you can 1. Leave it this way, since it wont really show or 2. Wrap the tweed or green fabric around the duct-tape. Do it fully if you've gone for a full crown, or do it where the flowers are and let the wire show from the back if you've only done a part of it like yours truly. Your final result will look like this:

Not only does it look oh so cute, but it also smells amazing!

That’s it for today guys! I hope you learnt something. Now whenever a girl passes by with a pretty flower crown you’ll just think “I can make that” it will need practice though! Be proud of your first attempt and send me a picture (Fatimajrh@gmail.com or on twitter: @FatimaTheGhost) if you do! Was this post helpful?Did you enjoy it? Do let me know down bellow!
